Andro Semeiko
Born 1975, Tbilisi, Georgia
In painting a cast of derisory icons and heroes, Andro Semeiko’s paintings explore the stage-management of power. His painting style is nearly photo-realistic and includes playful experimentation in texture and surface. Semeiko’s training includes early learning from his father who is also a painter, a Diploma in Painting from Tbilisi Academy of Fine Arts, BA in Fine Art at Utrecht School of the Arts, MA in Fine Art from Goldsmiths College at University of London and Postgraduate Diploma from The Royal Academy of Arts in London. Semeiko is showing his work widely throughout Europe and lives and works in London.
